I started to raise my boost a bit. I'm using a TurboXS boost controller. I gave it a turn or 2 and took it for a spin. Boost was spiking 21psi and settling out around 18-19 so I backed it off a half turn while pumping some gas. After that I was spiking to around 19psi and settling back to 16-17psi which is just fine for me (although the 21psi spike felt really good;) ). I went out to a cruise in spot and let the car sit for about 15-20 minutes and left, now I'm only getting 14psi. I adjusted up a half turn and didn't get any change. Any thoughts on what caused this change?

Perhaps there is a bunch (or even a little) crud in the controller?

I actually thought about that. Last year I pegged my 30psi boost gauge for a split second (thankfuly I have forged internals). I took the needle out of the controller and re-installed and everything was fine there on out. But around the needle, there looked to be the remains of a small plastic/rubber o-ring to seal the needle. I need to see if someone else has one of these controllers and can take it apart to see if they have any sort of o-ring around the needle.

toss a cheap crap grainger on there to rule out the boost controller. you can use small fuel filters before the boost controller to prevent dirt and stuff.
