I noticed i couldent rotate my motor after a point. I rember reading that the 2.5l dosent NOT become an interfearence motor with the 2.0l cams?

I heard that 2.5l's are still interferance, but you don't need to put valve reliefs in your pistons. 2.2's you need valve reliefs

I thought 2.5's were free wheelers with a Neon head.

I take it you dont have the timing belt on correct?

The 2.0 cams are a hair bigger for total lift than the 2.4
cams.

God no. I didnt have the bent on and i was turning the bottum end by and and it just stopped. cranked it the other way and it just stopped as well.

I don thave adjustable cam gears right now so my cam timing is *close* and the crank and dist are dead on!!!! I NEED adjustable cam gears ASAP!

Russ you got a pair you dont need any more? ;):D

Open the slots. The pin is only for location, it will break if you don't torque the bolts in, so you can slot it and adjust manually. I took a dowel and ground a notch in it and drilled a hole in the top...with the dowel, one can rotate it about the dowel and change offset up to 10 degrees depending on the dowel and slot used. The downside is that it isn't easy to adjust, but it costs 70 cents to do.

Ya but they come with a nearly complete car, shipping will
be expensive, your gonna need a trailer or tow dolly.

Sounds like you have confirmed your setup is interference. It wont
be an issue when the belt is on and the valve timing is set. My
present setup (yours if you come get those gears!) is interference,
I did the same thing you did to confirm. With my belt on I have
already spun it over by the starter with no contact.

Slip the belt on with #1 TDC, align the locator holes in the cam
blanks strait up and turn it over, the stock gears will clear the
pistons. Like I said if you have some stock 2.4 cams laying around
they will give you a little more cushion, I have spares if you need
some, your cost 1 beer at SDAC 19.

* It seems like every motor/head/headgasket combination is different from
trial fitting we tried with 2.5 lowers and 16v heads, your smart in not assuming
anything in what you found some are non interference with room for valve
float.
