88 water pump to 89?

88(lebaron) is smaller then the 89(daytona). Do they both rotate the same? can the 89 fit in my 88 lebaron if i get the housing from an 89? i like the style of the 89 better then the 88 such as my car. But im not sure if it will work? rotation comes in to play for me.
