Has anyone located any OEM LOOKING Battery Cables for a T-III.
I am in desperated need of cables and I want OEM style, Not some cheap looking clamp on the cable type clamps. I would even consider a Nice Looking set of USED Cables if anyone has some.
The ends on my Ground cable are cracked completely into where the tightening bolt goes thru. :banghead:

Thanks for any info.

Thanks Jackson, That will help. I still need to locate at Positive cable. It isn't quite as bad as my Negative, but still needs replaced also.
Not sure what I have that you haven't already got, but we can work something out.
I worked on mine last night and cobbled it up with a nice big honkin washer. Looks real Redneck, but at least it is now making the connection until I find something better. Its a good thing I have "Mini Me" to take to the shows with me. He fitst real nice on top of the cables and hides the UGLY clamps. :thumb:
Let me know what you find and what you need. :hail:

You can use a positive harness out of alot of 91+ cars. I think the olny thigs will be is that they used a three wire speed sensor starting in 93 so....

I am going to check that out today. I knew they needed replaced, but kept putting it off until Friday night when it failed to start due to bad connection. So, local dealer was already closed. Thanks, I'll see what they can find for me.

Also search rockauto.com for ACDELCO Part # 6BC41XD, should be negative cable with 3 leads and one of the leads is a plug connector.

Rich,
A couple of those look interesting and may have some possibilities. Thanks for you efforts in searching. Here are some pics of my cables. All the wires feed into a bundle and I didn't take the time to pull the leads out of the bundle yet.
I'll have to check them out and see if I can make them work. They don't quite look like the OEM, But, they look better than splicing on standard clamp on connectors.
Thanks again! :thumb:

Ralph, That ground cable look pretty darn close. Golly gee whiz, looks just like my Omni cable. :)

i havent owned a T3 car since 1997 so i dont recall, but the T1/T2 positive battery cable is shrouded in black plastic split-line ribbed conduit, wrapped at intervals with black friction tape......the negative cable is not......question: do the T3 engines also have a similar config for the positive battery cable?

Ok Ralph, your cables look just like my ones on 92 ES. I got new ones from Murrays/ Autozone. I don't know the part numbers, but I remeber getting them on the long side so I had plenty of wire to work with. And they did have the 3 leads coming off the lead clamp. Fair warning about these guys though. The clamp is lead and the bolt supplied is steel and likes to corrode like crazy. Cheap bastards.

I just cut and spliced/ soldered the leads into the existing harness.

Thanks Rich. I think I'll stop at Autozone after work and see what they have. (that is, IF my old age Auto Pilot brain doesn't drive right on past and head for home, like a horse with out rider heads for the barn) :o

It might already be too late, but I forgot to mention that the ones I got weren't listed for my car. They listed two wire cables instead of 3 so I just walked over to the shelf and matched it up.
