Is it worth it? Are there any noticeable gains from the weight/ rotating mass reduction? Should this be a race only type thing? Opinions?

There was a really good discussion a couple weeks ago about them.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! Great info but I think I'm still just as puzzled. Sounds like a good mod but the next time the car goes to the strip I won't need any help looking like an idiot trying to launch it decently. I'm still kicking the idea around though since the car is primarily a street driven car.

IMO- if it's primarily a street car, do it. But, the topic was discussed very thoroughly in that thread I think.

I think I'll see what it runs once the local track reopens and my alky pump comes in so that I can run the real boost and if the numbers don't suit me I'll start looking for ways to free up more power.

had to drop my launch rpms by 500 at the track. Down from 3500 to 3k even. At 3k the car launched just the same as it did with the stock flywheel. I'll have to try slicks sometime and see. But I love it with the street tires.
