Our latest addition to the catalog is our Air Conditioning Block off Plate. Many of our customers have taken the air condition out of their car. This plate covers the expansion coil at the firewall that is left exposed after the expansion valve is removed. These are made of aluminum and come with two bolts. Just because you’ve taken the A/C out of your car doesn’t mean you may not want to put it back. Don’t ruin your remaining A/C components! This is a great dress up item to give your engine compartment a more finished look.

These are available through our website www.OMNIPotentParts.com

Pricing for these units - $18 shipped. These will fit H, J, K, L, P and G bodies.

Thanks for your support!

I'd go a couple bucks more for one in wrinkle black. Sure would beat the black duct tape I've been running on there for 10 years:o

Thats a great product!!!

I made one very similar to that for my old GLHS years ago. There should be some sort of seal between the plate and the A/C block though. I just used an OE gasket, the one that's factory right there, between that block and the A/C line. The original part number from the mid 80's has been superseded a couple times. Current part number is 05066133AA, still available, and probably stocked by most dealers. List price is $3.55.

Good idea.

The person who removed the AC in my 87 S made their own plates for future AC install if so desired so I definitely see a "need" for this type of item.

Of course I reinstalled the AC & Greg, there is only one hole, not 2!

And while your at it why not make one for the condenser as well?

That's also very susceptible to dirt & grime entering it!

I think the two holes is with the expansion valve removed. Remember the two allen head or torx bolts back there. Looks great. Would definitely buy one to help support the community. We get parts sent out all the time where I'm at to get powder coated or whatever so natural finish is my preference anyhow.
