View Full Version : broken trans worth salvaging?

Found a v6 5 speed 4 door shadow today in the j/y. Car was hit so hard in the passenger side that it broke the bell housing on the trans. Was wondering if I should pick up the remains of the trans for the gearset, Mainly I guess... the questionn should be do you guys think the gearset would be ok?
Also are the syncros the same as an A523?

Why wouldn't he pick it up for the internals?:confused:

If I have to spend money, time, and energy pulling out a transmission at junkyard, it better not have a cracked case like this one. Who knows what is else is damage during the hit.

same as a 523. Del will tell you its a 568 for a v6, but I think he is wrong.

maybe if the bellhousign is cracked all the way around he wouldnt have to spend much time at all getting it out :p
