Anybody have a part number for the door lock gaskets from dodge or any other source? You know those little plastic idiot gaskets that degrade to nothing over time.

I'd like to get some also, as most of mine are way stretched or gone.

last I checked, you had to order a door handle to get the gasket.

A good locksmith, one who deals with door locks and ignition switches (there used to be a guy in our area who I swear had stuff from the 1920's), would have them if you're SOL at the dealer.
Think I saw another thread here recently regarding this--maybe try a search.

I'll get the p/n from my two brand new door lock gaskets that are at home in my box of NOS goodies :eyebrows: :thumb: I'll post it up for you later. And no you don' thave to order new door handles to get them.

Part number is 55074799
retainer pn 2583377 $5.00 ea
seal pn 55074799 $3.35 ea
^^ I bought this stuff a couple months back for my omni. The retainer is the clip that goes on the back side and holds the lock cylinder in place. The old ones were corroded so I got new ones.

I've got good news and bad news.
The bad news, there were only two of the 55074799 in the country. Those are in boston, ma warehouse. I was hoping to order more then two. Ask the parts guy about more. He stated that those seals were the last two showing in any chrysler warehouse.
The good news? I ordered both of them just in time for the dealer to put its order it. I should have them tomorrow.

If chrysler falls though, you will have to share your source.
I has some decent spares to use when I paint my car. As in life, new is better then newer.

James, Absolutely, Just find locks for a 1971-4 challenger or, cuda, or charger, or a 1984-1990 ford bronco. The locks are all the same. The gaskets are all the same.
