I just finished the motor swap on SL#623 last week. Also, installed boost gauge in the dash today. Cal and dp should be here tomorrow.

I take it you did like I did and just slid the 2.5 under your stock head and intake etc.??? The 2.5 loves the 2 piece intake. 5700rpm shifts at the track are perfect. Runs the same times as a 2.2 with 3psi or so less boost. Awesome motor in a heavier car.

Thanks for the positive comments. I am running 2.5l with Wisecos, ARP hardware, ported exhaust manifold, 2.5" exhaust, 2.5 cal & +20s at 14psi. Other than that it is a stock 2.5l with mitsu. Much more fun to drive now with the extra torque and quicker spool.

I have seen this thing in person, and pictures dont do it justice. Everything under the hood is brand new! Awesome work Dave!

Tyler, thanks! I was inspired by the work that you did on your R/T & Omni.

You'll like it more with a S60 turbo

I actually considered running a 46 trim hybrid but I was disappointed with the drivability of the car with the stock garrett and I was concerned that the bigger turbo might be just as(or more) unresponsive. If this was a manual car I would have gone with the bigger turbo.

That looks REALLY good man. I can't wait to do one of these up myself someday.

Great looking SL - wish I still had mine :(

Who did your cal for you? I have a 2.5 I'm getting ready to put in an 87 CSX (2.5 bottom end, 782 head, gasket-matched 2-piece intake and exhaust manifolds, S70 garrett, +40s, 2.5" exhaust) and I want to have a 2.5 cal in there instead of a 2.2 cal, because of the timing curves. Last go-around, I donuted a piston because of the 2.2 cal. Whoops, heheh...
