My in laws have this van and it is the 3.3 voyager.
OK
The mother in law came by to see the kids and when she went to the leave she got in the van and everything was just fine. When she turned the key it ran for 5 seconds or so with the lights flashing and the horn blowing and then the van shut off and lights and horn kept going.
I see when this is a VERY common problem with these vans and I have yet yo see 1 dealer fix it. They replace the BCM and the dash and all kinds off crap and people are out thousands.
I looked at the relays and pulled them and it would not start. I want to know if there is a way to run a by pass wire around that alarm system. I did however figure out how to keep the alarm from setting VIA the hatch. :eyebrows:

Anyway if you have some pointers let me know. I don't think bcm has anything to do with it . I kinda thought maybe the keyless entry might not be working on the alarm and only on the door locks. Either way I got her going down the road, but warned it will probably do it again soon.

It might need a key cylinder position switch

Yes she does and I kinda suspected that might be part of the issue.
These vans must be prone for issues.
