87 Charger Sunroof; crank-up seal

Well, I've lost faith in ever finding a new seal for the glass, but has anyone done any repairs to the upper-seal/retainer on the crank-up assembly of the sunroof?

Looks like a foam doughnut gasket--what would be a good material to try and fabricate a replacement from?

Anyone had any luck?

I need the top seal on the crank-up mechanism itself--it is a small foam doughnut located under the piece the glass snaps onto.
