A couple of weeks back I had to replace the freeze plugs on my 99 Wrangler w/ 4.0L. When I did this I also replaced the belt. About a week later I was driving the jeep to work, and when I started it up with the A/C on, the a/c compressor clutch started squealing pretty badly.
It only does this when the engine RPM is around idle, after you start moving, no more squealing. Slow down to a stop, and it will squeal again.
Im wondering if this may be a belt tension issue, OR if the clutch may be taking a poop? Opinions?
thanks!
