My 85' Shelby Charger is for sale. It's running. The front axle has been replaced with a one piece. The fuel lines have also been almost completly re-done. New lines from the fuel pump to the fuel rail, and all new fuel lines under the hood. Totally stock T1 set up, minus the A/C.
I've driven it almost 100 miles since it got fixed. I'm still driving it every day just to make sure nothing else goes wrong.
It can be driven home, but I wouldn't want something to break (hey, it's a twenty some odd year old car...)
Pictures can be seen here.

Entertaining offers, but I'd like 1,500 out of her.

I wish I had the money because I would buy it off of you quick. We just moved to a new house, so not a lot of extra cash out there. I'm sorry you have to sell it, hopefully economically things will pick up and you'll be able to mess around with either your Neon or another Shelby. :)

I had an SC with 155k daily driven from day one back in 94. Trust me they are good cars. Especially when un monkeyed with like mine was. Once you work the previous "owners" out of it you will love it.

Paul has no money to fix it, and does not have the means necissary. Otherwise I would fix it...unless you wanna drive out here and help me fix it for free? I'll buy you some beer, give you a place to stay for the weekend, and might take you out to dinner.

Yeah... well PAUL better get some money and get PAUL's a$s in gear.

Who's Paul again? Just drive it to Memphis and we'll get it running again. ;)

Seriously, if it's just the shaft pull that thing out and get it rebuilt. All you need is a jack and jackstand, 32mm(?) socket and breakerbar and the usual tools. The only unique tool you'll need is the large socket to remove the shaft.

Make it happen!

I'll try when I have the time. Someone stole ALL of my tools a while back, so I have to go and purchase some new ones. I don't have the funds to do that right now. :( However, my little brother just moved out, my girlfriend finally got a job, so I should have some extra cash flow here pretty soon. :thumb:

Buttttttt......in the meantime it's still for sale. :D

Nah I wouldn't do that to you. Mine needs body work. Not so much rust, but the drivers rear quarter has seen better days.

There was a GLHS for sale in Alaska not too long ago.
Also, it isn't that far of a drive, is it? :eyebrows:
I'll give you a place to stay when you get here....

Man, it looks pretty straight all around. Why did you take the louvers off, tired of looking at them? :D I took mine off after I got tired of cleaning the rear window and those darn things, such a pain.

I wish I could get it. :(

skitzo_inc

The louvers are actually on the car all the time. I just took them off once to get the picture of the Shelby logo on the back window. I wish you could get it too. :( I have some people coming to look at it, but I would rather it go to a TM guy. The guy who has the cash to buy it is gonna rice it out. :( :( :(

Yeah I remember the guys I used to hang out with when I had my SC were into low riders and wouldn't give me any help when it had the wiring ordeal so then it ended up in the JY.. Doh! I really think yours is pretty straight. Its getting hard to find anything in the condition that one is in. If I hadn't had so much in the lancer I'd be on it trust me. But after the ordeal I went through just to get this H body home no can do.

No biggie. I had someone come by tonight and look at it and I think by Monday it will be gone. He was very impressed with the boost that little car puts out. He has a friend who turbo'd his 06 Civic and my car was faster than that one. He said 1500 isn't a bad price at all. I guess time will tell, I would just rather it go to someone who isn't going to rice it out or beat the crap out of it till it dies.

WickedShelby88
08-16-2008, 09:08 PM
Some of those ricer guys will surprise you. There are a few who will run their cars but don't beat on them on the street and now how to take care of what they have. Hopefully this is the case.
Good luck!

I don't think the guy is gonna buy it, I have not heard back from him yet.
