Ok so here's the deal. My 90 A568 2nd syncroes suck, it only seems to shift into 2nd about 5% of the time and i cant down shift into 2nd whats so ever. I have a race coming up on sunday and i'm getting kinda sick of not running the car as hard as i can simply due to the fact 2nd gear dosent work all to well.
Can I launch in 2nd and not put an over welming amount of stress on the clutch?
Here's my basic set up.
FULL street trim 87 daytona shelby z w/ t-tops
Hybrid 2.5l w/ stock T3 and a .63 turbine
2.5" DP with 3" after that, no cat and dynomax muffler
relentless 3 bar/+40 g-head cal
15psi for now
10* base timing
big IC
TU 6 puck with extream duty PP
walbro fuel pump
22 x 8 x 15" slicks
all solid motor mounts even the bobble strut
100% stock A568
225whp and 310wtq (actual dyno numbers)
I launch around 4500rpm and my 60's are on avrige 2.1
so what do you guys think of launching in 2nd?
