Fan works on one speed while driving. Wires & connectors tested good at what I believe is the resistor (in glove box of my 86S).

A few gents checked switch manually at SDAC-18 and thought it was OK.

Is the resistor the small board attached with two screws in the back of my glove box?

Any other possible problems leading it to run only when I'm driving the car?

I know Michigan weather rarely calls for air / vent but it all works and I'm trying to keep all the stock items running.

Thanks again for all the help at SDAC-18!!!

I'll go ahead and be dumb here. I don't think the fan resistor is in the glove box. On Daytonas, it is behind the glove box and about 6" above it.

From what I understand, either the switch itself or the resistor block can break. I had a fan that wouldn't run on low in my current car. I ended up putting in an auto temp setup. That fixed the problem in that I no longer have the issue.

Thanks...that's what I was referring to. You're correct. I can see what I think is the resistor through the glove box just above it. I yanked the glove box to get at it and check connections.

Was wondering if I was in the right place.

What is the auto temp setup?
