Man, I can't get over how much they suck! They're OK if you don't have to drive anywhere far, but if you do...watch out! The tiny exhaust housing restricts so much that after awhile, the turbo becomes so heat soaked that it's making hot air, not boost. Granted....I'm not intercooled...yet, but this is retarded.

I drove about 100 miles today and after my trip, once I got into town, I had a couple cars want to play....now normally a 3.1 liter mid 90's Monte Carlo and a 2001 Accord V6 wouldn't give me much trouble....but after this 100 mile, 70+ MPH continuous trip, my car feels like a PIG and I can only keep-up.

I just thank the lord that I have a nice big Garrett waiting to go on at home, with a nice big intercooler cherry on top.

I have heard they work well on hondas and I have seen a few on them with a home made header, the few cars were 1.6l civic ex's I think.

There's a kit out there for Focusses (Foci?).....that use the same exact Mitsu turbo as ours....

really they aernt bad intercooled. I threw a t2 rad/cooler in my sundance and running 12psi i have had no problems. And it spools like a mofo

I had heard that for many of the sport compacts because they are easy to find in a junk yard and cheap. I figure on something smaller than a 2.2 they would be great, and I also intercooled the mitsu on my 2.5 and it spooled like crazy then i got a 3 inch exhaust and it could hold the boost back so thats when I upgraded.:eyebrows:

I'm deffinitely NOT sticking up for the mitsu, but i was able to take my CSXT to 8.7 seconds in the 1/8th (?mid to high 13's in the 1/4?) with the mitsu. Everything else was stock too, other than an Accufab AFPR, Grainger, Intercooler. :thumb:

Performance wise they are less than ideal. However, the mitsu on my shadow never gave me any trouble.

I dont think I ever had the mitsu to the track but all in all for a street driven car I loved it.

such junk. I swear my hybrid turbo'd car accelerates faster at 1psi than my mitsu car does at 10psi. Granted one is stock and one is anything but stock but if the mitsu car didn't have a boost guage I wouldn't even know when the thing was starting to make boost?
