i seen pictures of a custom header someone built. it had the turbo mounted over the tranny. can anyone tell me were to find this thread or pic?

I don't know which one you saw, but I am posting pics of my cars progress at this site www.crazy4carz.com look for the gallery link and the blue GLH, click on the thumbnails for larger pictures.

I just finished final mock up on the header. I'm using a .82 turbo housing with an external wastegate up top for easy maintenance so I have to modify an intake manifold too. Any turbo with the built-in wastegate should work or move the external underneath to use a stock intake manifold. It clears the power steering, brake booster and probably more room around the starter than stock. Next step is welding a bracket to the header turbo flange and bolting it to the head to support the weight and connecting the exhaust from the wastegate to the down pipe. Its down hill now.

Damn, that is some mad fab skills, this is my first attempt at a header and I just started learning to weld (oxy/acetylene, can't afford a tig)
