Could you imagine this car with a rear wheel drive set-up. A brawny and loud hybrid 16 valve motor that has one large mother loving turbo hung on it?

Shipping weight of the frame and body kit is only 400#. Add a windshiled, some seats, wiring, and suspension and you have one bad azz ride.

Take it to the vinatage road races and watch all them old timers screw up their faces when you lift the hood and show them a light weight 4 cylinder.

The Cheetah is a classic early 60's sports car racer. Okay, so it was developed for a small block chebby. :yuck:

I think this is cooler than putting our engine in a Lotus 7 chassis kit, and just as dangerous. :thumb:

And I would paint it White with a Shelby blue stripe.

I know people local who are making these cars.
The molds are being repaired right now and
they will soon be making bodies/chassis.
The guy I know making the bodies is looking for someone to help him, (I just wish I had more time).
I know more of these will be around soon.

Pretty sweet looking car. I have always wanted to drop a Mopar Turbo into a Cobra kit car, or something small like that.

I ran across an article or an online blurb about someone in Ohio building Cobra kits and putting old Chrysler Hemis in them... Wild stuff!

I had an old TR3 that I considered putting a 360 into. I found a buyer before I found an engine,

As a kid in the late 60's I had a Cheetah slot car.... :eyebrows:

I would only consider one engine besides a SBC for a Cheetah.... and that would be an aluminum BBC. lol.

You know what I thought of the other day... a turbo 4 cylinder from a Thunderbird or turbo mustang in a cobra kit car. 4 cyl turbo, fast, light, good on gas. Perfect.

or merkur xr4ti....

Those motors aren't that efficient though. Better off with a 2.4

Well, i was just thinking that the mustang donor cars have come with the 2.3 or the 5.0, the mounts and everything ought to be pretty available with no real other modifications for the common cobra kit cars.
