April 8th test n tune @ Martin, MI

I plan on being at the US131 Motorsports park in Martin, Michigan on April 8th with my 3 FWD mopars for test and tune. Some turbo dodge guys I know plan on being there as well. If you are in the area feel free to stop by. The track is just off exit 55 on US 131 between kalamazoo and Grand Rapids.

Jason, if you haven't done this already, hack off that dam 1-7/8" pipe that goes over the rear axle. Ondonti ran his best time ever, while he was N/A, running open exhaust after the cat.

Gonna strip some more weight out of it. and hack that exhaust. maybe even put a tach in it so i actually know where i'm shifting at.

THe white shadow now has the 52mm tb on it and i'm ready to grenade the 604 so get to work on that trans swap

street tires i went 14.85

Wow the carpet is heavy. I just made my car almost a half a tenth quicker in about 10 mins of work. Imagine what I will be able to accomplish within the next month.

only reason i'm racing these stupid pos 3.0 slows is that they were free so i don't give a rats behind if they blow up. funny thing is these are the first 3.0 that i've seen that don't burn oil like its free.

when you stick a hair dryer on them i suppose they can be fast. but the dang oil burning and slipping 604's sure have left me bitter.

well, I don't like the 604s either, so I stick with the A543 and A670s. As for the oil burning, its just the valve guides. Once you replace the valve guides you are good to go for a long time. I have been beating the hell out of my 3.0L for many many miles. Probably somewhere between 50-75k since the rebuild. It's still running great and has full compression. No oil consumption either. Well, a little gets pat the PCV valve but its no big deal. I think the 3.0 is a great motor once you fix those bugs. The only other bad thing about it is the poor flowing heads. However, the engine wasn't built for performance. I want to follow in Ondonti's footsteps and stick a huge turbo on one and get the duster in the 9's.

DOH! I won't be able to bring the Daytona, since the turbo took a crap. Hopefully I will have a new turbo for it this season. I am still bringing my 2 V-6 cars though.

Van is officially running. I got it going around 8 and made sure to do a massive hole shot in front of the house about 9 pm. My dad was out there chearing me on with the beast.

We give kyle crap for racing his daytona last fall and the best he could get was a 2.7 60ft time so we figured his dress must have gotten in the way of him shifting.

Get to work on your mitsupoopy only got 2 more days. Van is ready to go, it may actually be somewhat slow right now since its still untuned and i don't know what fuel pressure its at for the moment. But thats not gonna stop me from ripping it up. Wonder what a stock pump with race gas can push for boost.

The duster is on the road. I drove it a good 50+ miles today with no prolems. Now I just have to work out a few little bugs. Why did briggs wear a dress anyway?

Well Mr. 93sundance was a no show so I win by default time to wear the dress josh.

So much for td invasion, only the a-team van and andrew with his shelby charger showed up. Lots of cars breaking down resulted in me only making 5-6 passes with the van.

All day i was fighting a charging issue and had to leave the van running in the staging lane for way too long and i'm pretty sure the cooler got extremely heat soaked.

First run was very entertaining. I lined up next to a newer supercharged lightning and I must have been sleeping while we were staging as i didn't build boost off the line but still managed a better reaction and got a jump on the lightning. Suprisingly i was still ahead of the lightning almost the entire lenght of the track with him pulling past me on the last 300 ft or so. With the race being so close i was extremely excited thinking i managed a 13.xx on my first pass of the year. As i'm pulling up to get my slip I look back and don't see the hatch to the van, immediately i think it flew off somewhere on the track and start freaking out. Well i get my slip and see the the hatch just blew open and get a bunch of laughter from the official who handed me my slip.

Unfortunately i only managed a 14.99 on that first run.Come to find out the hatch blew open on launch and slowly rose during my entire run. I got plenty of laughter from the people in the stands on that one. Immediately i get a bunch of people coming up asking all sort of stupid questions about the van and one guy even asked if the hatch opening was some trick downforce setup to keep the back of the van planted. I kid you not i have witnesses to verify it.

To make a long story short i only managed a 14.5 with 2.25 60ft. Only problem was the blown out suspension on the van didn't like going that fast and it was swaying pretty good so i had to lift.

Hopefully next weekend the van will have the new suspension goodies on it and i will actually be able to make a full throttle pass to see what it can do.
Right now with the stock auto trans i'm hoping for 13.99 with it.

Also my brother made his first pass ever down the track with the white shadow and managed a 17.25 with a best of 16.5. He is addicted and will be there any chance he gets.

I bet that was a sight, seeing the hatch coming up going down the track. Guess there wasn't anything back there to fall out, lol.

MAN! I was on 131 at the martin exit at about 1:15 PM april 8th and I commited a few major traffic violations and ended up in jail until about 6 hours ago! Now i have to get the car out of impound lol.

I was an idiot and freaked out when i got pulled over and i took off and outran a state trooper at 140+ mph. Man I am an idiot. Someone really needs to kiss my azz for this one. I ended up getting away but i was almost out of gas so I parked it and ran in the woods. They got the dogs and found me. I would have been home free If I completely got away. my plate was so old, when they ran it, it came up as nothing, lol. Thats one reason why I ran. Man I feel like the biggest dumbass in the world. I dont know why I ran. I just totally flipped out when the cop was walking up to my car and I didnt want a second offence driving while license suspended and probation violation. Now I really did it. I bet im going to do a year or more in jail for this one. I'll bring the ticket to prove it next time I see u all. Someone please wear some steel toe boots and kick me hard in the azz when I get there. I deserve it. The cop was pulling me over for my EXHAUST! Can you beleive it? It's a new 2.5" system with a 2 chamber muffer and high flow cat. Its just a little louder than stock.. Well I am going to have as much fun as I can before I go back to jail. I hope I can get the car out of impound so I can race next saturday. theres no way im driving though!!!! Ill get a friend with a license to drive.
