I recently switched out my power module. Maybe that's the problem. It seems unlikely. The car is an '86 Daytona Turbo Z CS. The power module came from an '87 New Yorker auto.

When I turn the car off, the Navigator stays on. The reverse lights will also stay on if the car is in reverse sometimes. Sometimes if you move the shifter to reverse the navigator will go off. There just seems to be an odd confluence of reverse position with the shifter, the reverse lights, and the navigator.

I let the car sit for an hour and now things are fine.

Still stumped.

And now stranded.

The same white 12v ignition goes to the navigator, the reverse lights and ... are you ready for it ..... the radiator fan relay. Guess what quit working today?

Anyone else up for a PBR and some quality time with a volt meter?

Replaced the fan relay and all is well with the world.

Thanks for all the help folks!?!:confused2:

For those who find their navigator and reverse lights on while the car is off, do not delay, get a new fan relay.

About the only question I have left...
Did the relay fail because it is 22 years old, or because I run a stock puller and an after market pusher and the stock relay can't handle the extra current?
