i installed my 3 bar MAP sensor in my omni right in the pass-side kick panel right above the new TU custom logic module, works perfect and is supereasy to do.
why install the sensor under the hood? just curious to the advantages....
well, there are problems with the long section of vacuum line gathering condensation and causing false readings from the sensor, so Mopar came up with the conversion. PLUS, it sure it a lot easier to get to in the engine compartment.
SO, you guys thing Mopar still has these available? part number??
thanks,

Sweet!!! Thanks Jonny!!
Ok, just called my parts guy. Told me the kits are NS1, but he shows 4 of them out there "somewhere", but not at a dealer.
Cost is like $126!!

Why not just mount your existing MAP sensor under the hood and lengthen the wires?

Bender -
what is it exactly? I mean, does it just plug into the female plug in the LM, and then have wires that run to the engine compartment to plug into the exact same MAP sensor, or a different MAP sensor?
thanks,
clay
