What is new with my white R/T.

I took the compressor housing, wastegate, and some other things off now and I am going to paint them so they don't look so crusty and old. I am also working on a pretty large write up on everything I had to do to swap the stock turbo out with this one.

My red R/T is now driveable, shiftable, and fun as hell!

I also got a new best friend.:eyebrows:

Uh, was it the Mega-Millions or just the regular powerball lottery you won:thumb:? I think three more RT's would fit in that garage if you squeezed em in:eyebrows:. Nice.

No lottery winner here, it sure would be nice though.:)

I could probably fit 3 wide in the garage if there wasn't a work bench, tools, etc in there. Once I pulled them in I would probably have to get out through the trunk.

I am hoping to finish up my white R/T in the next week, so I can dyno and tune it before I leave for Bahrain.

Very cool! I also have a red and a white Spirit R/T outside. On my white R/T, I went the opposite way and installed a smaller TII turbo a few weeks ago (all I had at the time). My red R/T is the modded one and I'm still not sure why I bought the white R/T but I love it.

I'd like to see what you do for the intercooler pipes with that Holset on there. Did you have to install the turbo with the compressor housing removed in order to get in on the manifold?

I had the turbo apart when I put it on. I put the the turbine housing on first and then cleared space for the compressor housing. This turbo is really easy to take apart and put together, a vband holds the center section to the turbine housing and a large c-clip holds the compressor housing to the center section.

The intercooler piping won't be too bad. I have a bunch of stuff in the garage to piece it together, it just might not be as pretty as I would like for the time being. The turbo has the elbow that points towards the drivers side and then I bought a 2.75" to 2.5" reducing 90 degree elbow that will turn to face the front of the car.

I havn't been on here in a while, but thought I would update the thread. I have not been working on my white R/T much lately, I ended up breaking the v band clamp that holds the center section of the turbo to the turbine housing. I broke the bolt because I overtorqued it.:o Everything is painted and ready I just need the v-band clamp and block off the coolant lines.

I took my red R/T out this weekend and hooked my Innovate LM1 up to it and did some street pulls. With the +20s, stock computer, and .57 trim turbo it is pulling pretty good now for only 14-15 psi.

I should be coming home from Bahrain in a week if everything goes okay. It will be nice to spend some much needed time at home. Hopefully I will have some time to make some new updates to this thread.

I am pretty excited to get back into the states! I can't wait to be able to walk outside during the day without being overwhelmed by the heat!
