Gearing/MPH Calculator
I wrote this last night to replace my Excel version which was not quite compatable with people's computers. This new version is fairly accurate. More transmissions are constantly being included.

I like it, but it needs to take into account torque converter slippage for the auto's which varies with different conveters. It said in second gear I could do 100mph, which in fact I can only do about 90 to 91mph.

Well I would need some way to track it. Is it a precent slip that you go buy? I dunno. What is the parameter needed?

Yes, it's a percentage. My converter has a 10 to 12% slippage in the upper R's. But of course has a much higher percentage in the lower rpm's (high torque) range. Converters vary from one to another on there efficiency and percentage of slippage depending on how they are built.

how would you want it implemented in a way that makes sense?

You would have to put a user chosen amount of percentage. Because it is not really known until some runs or testing is done. I didn't know what the slippage was on my converter until I made a run in 2nd gear through the 1/8th, and then got my time slip. I could then figure it out by knowing how many R's the engine was spinning at that mph. In other words the percentage option would need to be whatever amount is chosen.

that is the one to figure slip but also on that page they have one like yours to enter your own slip for gear ratios.
You probably have seen it already but your numbers come out exactly as theirs do w/ 0% slip
