welcome to the forum.

No one makes the intermediate shaft anymore so you either have to get a used one or go with a long axle on the passenger side. I use the long one on mine. It is one less part to break.

Some say torque steer is the same and some say it is worse. I really did not notice any difference between the two on my car.

As far as the speed sensor, you can get it from the dealer, auto parts store, or one of the vendors on here.

Welcome to the forum! :thumb: Where in IL are ya?

The unequal length axle will not really add any torque steer if you have a good alignment on the car.

Do you have the sensor with broken wires or need the sensor? The sensor should still be available, if the sensor and wires are still there, just match up the colors and solder them together :thumb:

still have the sensor and wires ill try resoldering them. will the longer half shaft break, or wear faster due to the length?

No. Usually the u joint in the intermediate shaft is the weak link. The heavy duty axles you can by all come with the long axle instead of the intermediate shaft.

Cool, there are a couple guys on here in the St. Louis area :thumb:

By turbo being loud do you mean like exhaust sounds loud or the turbo whistles a ton when you get on it?

My 85 charger too had a loud turbo in terms of the noise it makes when it spools. this was with a full restrictive stock exhaust. The car had 155k on it but I believe the turbo had been replaced at some point.. Is it like a whistling noise when you throttle up a little bit?

like the turbo whistles a ton all the time not so loud at idle but then louder the more you get on it.

sometimes it to loud to stand in front of car on the throttle body side

Some turbo's do whislte a lot especially if there is no air box on them or cat-free exhaust. If it sounds excessive, it is a good idea to check the turbo over and remove the inlet just to make sure that the comp wheel is not hitting the comp housing.

Welcome brother!
Check for air leaks on the discharge side. There's an 1/8 in hose barb on the compressor nozzle that will really whistle. It's suppose to "vent " the wastegate servo.;)Go to WWW.Minimopar.com or ,WWW.thedodgegarage.com for vac diagrams.
My daughters 89 Daytona split the IC high press hose once. It sounded like a SHEEP:confused: when ya hit 5 PSI.................. Oh how embarrassin!:o

It will whistle when you get on it and start making boost. It will be similar to the sound a semi makes when they are taking off from a light etc.

Yep, road testing is a must. Tags are no big deal though, just grab a set off of whatever's handy to throw on it and don't get caught.:D

Wouldn't skimp on insurance though. You get caught with the wrong tags on a car it's just a stupid fine but if you crash with no insurance, somebody's lawyer could ruin your life.

Looks pretty decent for sure, regardless of cost. Keep working on getting her to run right and the speed will come. Getting some rear wheels on there will help your times considerably. ;)
