ground wire kit

could someone tell me how long the wires are that come in the kit? i have some 5ga wire laying around and was thinking about using it for ground wires.

I don't know what a ground wire kit is, but any wire will work for ground wires. Of course, the ground from the battery needs to be a reasonable gauge. If you are talking about the fuel rail to the fire wall, that can also be made from the radio ground strap too (nice little trick I learned from this board). If you use crimp lugs, using a little solder will help hold them better over the long term and makes a better connection.
