Gotta get the GLHS rims redone.

Anyone know of a reasonably priced place that refinishes rims?

i just saw in person a set of 86S wheels that Carl of Long Island Rim restored recently, wow. i mean i am super-particular and these Centurions were the best I have ever seen. I called carl just two days ago to ask about his big improvement in results (I had a spare set done three years ago that came out nice but not show-perfect like these I just saw), Carl tells me he has refined his clear coating process and his machining practices.

i am convinced and now on his schedule to have my original set of (4) wheels restored.

I 1st thought of Carl (who I've met many times) & PM'd him on the 22nd.

He never PM'd me back so I figured he didn't do them anymore.

Or maybe I PM'd the wrong guy?? :confused2:

BTW, Carl is turboking, no/yes?

Thanks for the link, I'll call today.

Marcus, got pics of the rims you saw?

You know I'm just like you when it comes to how things look on a car!

All set with Carl, thanks guys!

I just talked to Carl, he remembered me after all these years & he's gonna take care of my rims for me.

Marcus, while he's swamped I'll get them back earlier than than end of summer, & it's no rush anyway since I still have allot of work to do before the car is "Butch drivable" in public anyway! :D

Does he do fiberides? :eyebrows: Or does he just re-polish?

I see that you already found a place to get your wheels done, but thought I would post the info on this place for anyone else that might check this thread and need someplace in NE Ohio. My son, Chad had his Stealth R/T TT wheels done here and they did an excellent job on them. They also do wheel repairs, where possible.

I think you'd be better off to let a local paint shop do those.

weldcraft wheels in northville mi fixed my eagle talon wheels. I was pretty happy since they just do refinishing, not repair!
