Looking for a Mopar Performance 3.994" stroked Steel crank P4529445.

Prefer NIB/NOS

Just figured I'd put this out there.

Hoping someone is willing to part with one or knows where I might find one.

Thanks

I am pretty sure someone has one of those for sale, search our parts forum or the one on www.turbododge.com. I would try to find it but mega busy at work, :p

I searched this forum and TD no luck finding post. You might have mixed up my request with a recent FS of a 2.0 de-stroker 3.246" crank on here which sold for 170USD on e-bay.

But I'm really really really hoping that I am wrong, messed up the search and that there is a 3.994" stroker crank out there for sale. So please when you have some time I would really apperciate it if you could check on it. Thanks
Tony

PS I also have this request posted over at TD

I have a new MP forged crank, I think it is listed as "racing crank" in the catalog, I might sell it. I will need to look further into exactly what the part # is.

Anybody know where to find the part # on a new crank shaft that is not in the box??? OK, how about the stroke on the same crank?

John

First check around the ends (hub) for casting numbers. If their are no numbers, I get the procedure to measure the throws. I also PMed you.

Ok. thanks

Unfortunately, Flatlander doesn't have the 3.994" stroke available as for the other cranks I don't know, but a few de-stroker 2.0 cranks have been on e-bay recently and sold well under $359. As for myself, I'm still looking for the 3.994" crank. Maybe Punkslip (John) will see this, haven't heard from him.

Have you looked into reworking the 2.4 crank? Though this is on reworking the 2.0 crank but the same idea works. http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2742

Yeah, i'm not sure what the differences are between the 2.0/2.4 Neon crank and 2.2/2.5 cranks (aside from bore centers and rod journals?) and how to fit a 2.0/2.4 Neon crank into a CB. From that link's post I believe that they started talkng about the MP 2.0 de-stroker crank for pre-CB engines (which is the sibling to the crank I'm looking for but in 3.994" stroke) and somewhere in the middle of the threads it seems to weave between the MP crank to discuss the Neon crank I think?

Anyway it doesn't seem clear to me from the post when or if they are talking about the Neon or MP crank.

All I can say is all these MP cranks (3.246" and 3.994") are for pre-CB engines (as Flatlander points out on their page). And as we all know to fit a pre-CB crank into a CB you need to deal with the snout and seals.

As for the Neon crank I'm not sure, maybe someone can give more details if a 2.4 Neon crank can fit into a common block and how to do it?

Yup, your suggestion is my next option, if I can't track down a MP crank from now to the fall with the summer swap meets, I'll have to seriously look at getting a forged Neon crank modded, if possible.
