View Full Version : Name in Sig.

I know this was tried a long time ago on the other site, but maybe since we're starting fresh we can try it here. It would be cool if everyone put their real name in their signature, might make things feel more personal, and if people ever meet you in person they'll actually know what to call you. Maybe it could possibly be a line to fill out in the personal info section of your profile so it shows up in the header above the city you live in, mods?

  That was a good one. Name in the sig is a good idea. Last year at the TD bbq here in Utah I was lost trying to figure out who everyone was:confused:

We live in a town called turbo-mopar.com. If everyone knows who everyone is, then everyone tends to behave themselves. Poor behavior and a lack of accountability is fostered by anonymity.

I would put my name in the signature, but I can't seem to find an option to update it. Do only paid members have the signature option? And I am not opposed to subscribing.
Ken, is this where you have been playing lately?
Thanks,
Mike Grantham

Been putting my name in my hand typed sig forever, but really a lot of people call me Hooty in real life. Dunno why, just kind of the way it is, kind of like you Whorse. Even my own mother calls me Hooty from time to time.

Hey...I got another idea. We should all make t-shirts with our avatars on them so we can identify each other by sight!

Nice to see everyone doing this. I hate to meet people and they say "I'm xxxxx on xxxxx site. Locations are great as well. You might be closer to someone on here than you think.

Speaking of which, where in VA are you? My G/F's parents live in Mcdowell county less than a mile from the WV/VA line. I'm in that area and around Richlands every couple of months.

I end up knowing people by their avatars. I have to relearn these people when they change them. It makes me mad.

I have had my first name in my sigs forever, but decided to add my last name too. Helps make my screen name make more sense.:D I don't have an avatar, cause I'm too lazy to find a suitable one.
I also think everyone having their location is a good idea, helps identify any locals.
