Just thought I'd put this out there. I want to buy one in a few months after I get things squared away this summer. Wondering how many people here on the forum have one and who would potentially be willing to part with theirs.

I could be convinced to sell mine. It would take a lot of convincing, though.

Got 880, but not planing on selling, besides, shipping from CA would probably be pretty high...

Of course, everything is for sale, I just don't think anyone in their right mind would pay that much! :D

Here are a couple pics from when I got it. The only ones I have of it after I stripped it are on my cell (my digicam died that day).

Yeah this thing was pretty beat. Without a doubt, this was the rustiest l-body I have ever junked....and I have junked a good many. There were lots of good parts I saved off of it though that will eventually be used on something. The wheels are worth more than what I paid for the whole car ;)

Sounds like #80 will make a clone sometime eh? Well I called about that one JT and they had sold it three years ago.. So much for the rust free 87 GLHS I found.. May have a line on another. Hey Dave, who's got some 87's they'd be willing to part with.. Not asking you to sell your Kevin, but good to hear you still have it. So Pat, for reference how bad were the floors in #80. 751 is another story I'm sure lol.. At least the parts can live on attached to something. Working on the home front.. Found the fix.. Long hours at work, and doing some more cleaning at home.. Otherwise making time for the projects that are first in line. Lancer and lancer engine.... Thats why I said in a few months I'd be looking to buy one not a few weeks..;)

Definitely won't be a clone. I have the vin tags and dash plaque, but no title (sent it away with the shell to the scrapper) but they're never going to be on another car as long as they're in my possession. I do not believe in calling a car something it is not :p

What floors?? lol Seriously, when I put it up on a lift, the frame was crumbling out from under the car and I could see through to the carpet in MANY spots.

Wow that thing was beyond anything. Guess that another one RIP. I can't imagine how a GLHS ends up like that, but things happen.

Joe's still looking for a GLHS here, so that sounds like a great idea for a new thread there Pat *hint*hint* :thumb:

I use the term looking loosely right now. My trip to deliver my mom cars went over budget after the second tank of gas in the van.. Doh!

whats your budget
my dads been trying to sell ours forever
definitely pricey but all orginal and in GREAT running condition with 42,000 original miles, always garaged, no rust, needs some touch up on the original paint and a good detail. Also may need headliner.
Just putting it out there

My budget is kinda non existent right now, but that sure sounds like the best one I've heard of so far not to mention your dad would "actually" sell it.. Thats something I haven't heard since I started this thread. Not that I'm in any position right now, but would 3500 be a low ball?

O ya...
Hes not desperate to sell the car...
He just wants the money for his BB(big boyor Big block) toys
He wont take anything under 7,9--
I know you dont wanna spend that much but the car is definitely worth it!
My dad has only put 20,000 miles on it in 20 years!

Wow.. it will make someone a nice car for sure. Big blocks are rediculous money.. Actually race parts in general have a mark up to end all budgets.. My friend found that out the hard way when he bought his 67 Nova.

well we have 2 currently runningBB, another with a hole through the block, one thats getting a daytona conversion, mine that needs prep and paint then everything else, another that sits at our old body mans shop, one that sits in my cousins garage etc. So our budget is multiplied by quite a few cars.

You wouldn't be interested in a 400 big block. More guys are relizing the potential of a tall deck block which is what the 400 is. You can make 400 hp and 400 ftlb of torque with an amazing power curve with one. They also make very good volumetric efficiency so you can make those numbers on pump gas.. My dad has one along with a 727 he'd part with for next to nothing.

too bad that $875 might be a little steep for a nonexistent budget :(

Good lord if I actually didn't have so much money owed I would be buying that this weekend.. Thats the best deal I have seen since I got my first car which was a nearly rust free 85 SC with a nice interior back in 96. The worst part is had I not bought my lancer I could go down to florida and get that car. One of my good friends that I grew up with lives in the Tampa/St. Pete area.

Yup! My wife is thankful that it's too far away! Or I'd have it in a flash, I guess it's a good thing I'm too cheap to pay for a hauler!:lol:
