Planning a hybrid build and I need to make an intake. I'm hoping I can fabricate it to clear the dizzy although it does not have to sit under the hood.

What would be a good intake to start with? Is there anything out there that I can use the flange and maybe some of the runners to begin with?

If it matters, I believe my head is the early 2.0 DOHC.

Is that the cloud intake that wraps down around the dizzy?

That looks like it might make for a decent foundation.

What'cha want for it?

It is from an avenger/2gnt talon.

I also bought one of those thinking it would work well... The problem is that it doesn't clear the hood...

It would be a good one to cut off and weld a sheet metal plenum to though. Or if you don't have to clear the hood this will work great!

I am getting a full custom intake done by allmotormike on the neons list. He is local so it works out great for me.

I was going to say, I have a 2.4 minivan intake, very similar to the one posted, but it still has the water neck.

Some of you might recall Russ Jerome's hybrid Omni, but that intake is sitting in my garage, and I will probably never use it.

It's made from a 2.4L minivan manifold, a 5"(?) diameter light pole, and a 68mm throttle body (4.7L V-8). It stuck out the hood about 4-5 inches.

Make me an offer.

I paid $30 for it at Pick a Part, but it doesn't have the fuel rail.

Dang, if it only fit under the hood.

I bought the whole car. I wanted the engine for another car, but I don't want the engine sticking out of the hood. Don't worry, the Omni is in recovery after another purchaser made some changes that didn't work out.
