Air bag light

The air bag light on my 91 Spirit R/T has come on randomly as I have been driving lately. It stays on for about 30 seconds and has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Kinda flips me out when I see it as I am thinking the air bag could deploy. Anyone have any idea why it would come on like this?

Im not sure if you can pull codes for diagnostics on the airbag on that car but it may be clockspring related. BTW when the light is on the air bag WILL NOT deploy. You are more at risk of it deploying with the light off than on. The light on means there is a problem in the system and when the light is on the airbag is deactivated

I keep my scan tool in my Daytona, but I'm not sure if it will read that either. Good to know it will not deploy when the light is on, kind of makes sense. The car does have a clock spring issue that sometimes I have to manually turn off the left turn signal manually after a turn. Thanks.
