Correct spelling is Too Expensive.

Wow!!
That price covers a year. That blows every paid plan with the same specs out of the water as most want between $2-$5 a month.
Offer isnt for me though. So far i have 3 GB of content on my personal site and way more on my biz site.

Ken, ill still have to pass on that.
If i wanted to host a site on my car project or a personal site (if i didnt have one already) I would jump at the chance to use the turbo-mopar domain.
I cant consider switching host for my other sites because i cannot get the access i need without a non-dedicated host. Most of the space is being used by a variety of projects in Subversion, which requires root access to install and maintain. Just the reference assets to the Speed game is over 2GB and growing. Besides giving up the Phase9Studios and Variant domains will be very bad for biz.
But to everyone else, This is a great deal!!!!
No free or low cost hosting will even give you this deal.
Why have a geocites domain when turbo-mopar sounds so much better for car nuts like us :)
And why use this over sites like cardomain.com?
No-ads, make the entire site the way you want it (You dont have to look at a pre-made template and design your content inside of that) and the ability to do whatever else you want!

Frank & Ken,
How about considering some space for SDAC chapters if they want/need a host. The SDAC Mid-South site is being hosted on Brad Miller's server. That's great, but I can't remember the login or password for the life of me, and a couple emails to Brad at various email addresses have gone unanswered. So the site is useless to us now. ;)
Just a thought...
You want my opinion? I think they are too CHEAP!!!!!!!! :thumb:

I tend to agree Clay!
Now, here's the question from me. What if I were willing to pay a little more for say 1GB and host some videos? Would that be possible?
GLHSKEN

Anything is possible... Jason, Frank's the expert here. He will be more able to answer those questions after the new year.
Todd, Yes, we'll need to talk to Brad about the chapters and will most definately consider hosting them on hte previous terms ;)
If we run into server issues, that would not be a bad thing... That means the site is healthy and a hardware upgrade is needed...
Having said that Frank- Me- :bolt:

Simon, similar concept, but with CD, you're limited to their template/design (and advertising, since nothing's really free) - i.e. how everything is laid out on the page/s (you'll notice they all pretty much look the same). With your own domain, your info can look however you make it/want it to.

^^^^^^ thanks Evan.
BTW, If you do it, I am in, for the cheaper one, lol! :eyebrows:

It's really your own web site. You'll need to know some code or find a template you like (i.e. what is provided by CD that lets you just fill-in-the-blanks and upload pics).

I know nothing about that stuff so that means I am OUT, lol!

I'm in for the $25 plan for shelbycsx.com! Great deal!
My apologies to anyone trying to get to the site for the last couple of months. It's been down since my move from TX to IL. It'll be back eventually, though!

Simon, it's not so bad, really; you don't have to be super-programmer-man if you don't want to. You should get a friend to hook you up with DreamWeaver and show you how to do some stuff. (I could send you a disc actually, if you had someone nearby to give you a quick lesson...not that hard to teach yourself really...)
You can do it!!! :D

I'll take a $25/yr. space!!! Sign me up!
Are there any restrictions on what it can contain, however? I'd be looking to use it as my personal space to include not only info and pics on my TD's, but also as an e-portfolio for school, my rants/opinion, and some other things....

Does the content haft to be Shelby/Turbo Dodge related?? I need some server space to park a LARGE FILE, in the 1 gig range, for a few specific people (ALPHA and BETA testers) to be able to download, for short periods of time (a week or so) and other assorted files, photographs and the like. They very much are NOT car related, but they are legit files (a side project I am working on, of total NON interest to TD fans)
Could something along those lines be plausible?
FTP upload is most defiantly a must.
If you need I can send you a PM with full details.
EDIT, I have the web skills to do this, just not the space...:)

I'm going to talk to my son when he returns from NH later this week and see if he is competitive with You guys. I am getting ready to go off car domain for the above mentioned reasons. He hosts a couple of sites himself.
