View Full Version : L-body pillar pod questions???

I just got my pillar pod for my charger and was wondering how the hell is it supposed to fit? The two mounting holes dont line up at all and there are tons of gaps betwen the pod and the pillar trim. Are these really that poorly constructed? Could someone please give me some ideas about how to make this look decent?

Where did you get it? I bought mine from FWD Performance. It fit fine. I had to drill one hole.

I got mine from FWDP also. Do you have any pics of the location where its mounted?

K, are you using both mounting holes on the pod? None of them line up unless the pod is way up top. Should I just drill new holes and mount it where I want and try and form it to fit?

That's what I did with mine. It did not fit all that well, however I got it pretty close. I used one existing hole and had to drill one other.

That's what I did. I found mine fit pretty good though.

Oh, so you have them mounted up high? Are they easy to see? Im thinkin of mounting it down towards the a/c vent.

I was wrong. I drilled TWO new holes in the pillar. This is what mine looks like.

Oh, that looks good! do you drill through the pillar or just into the trim? Sorry for the questions im a noob when it comes to things like this. Oh, and whats that gauge in the top? EGT?

Also, where do your wires run too for the gauge?

I am going from memory here...It seems like the pod only had one hole in it when I got it from FWD Perf. It's the one between the two gauges. I drilled that hole in the top to make it sit down better. The pod covers up the bottom screw on the pillar trim.

The top gauge is a Summit Racing digital tachometer. I keep track with EGT's on my wideband datalogger.
