i am looking into a different front bumper for my car. currently it has this one it:

needless-to-say, i don't like it anymore.

i was thinkng about making one similar to this one:

without the two little rectangluar holes and little bumper canards. it's less flashy than the one i currently have. i'm also probably going to ditch the evo hood, because i'm liking the way the car looks with just the buldge hood as indicated in the pink car above.

or i was thinking about trying to aquire an 89 shelby front air dam, either used or aftermarket, as i saw a guy on ebay selling some. despite it being rather hard to find that bumper, it would be easier in the long run.

but then again i'm not sure how it would look with my current sideskirts... i guess i could photoshop it and see.

thanks for any advice. i really don't want to go back completely stock, as i like it to look different, but i'm just not liking the "ricey" look that much anymore. as for color, pink was just an idea. i'm also leaning towards electric blue or black.

My personal opinion would be to go ahead and give it the '89 CSX appearance. Aftermarket "body kits" just don't do it for me and look chinsy. Definitely stick to the stock appearances offered through the factory.

That is a pretty unique hood you have on your Shadow though!

I kinda like the CSX front end as well. I am more of the stealth minded though.

i have a shadow grille. those are not badged like the ones from the sundance are. they are interchangable. also, the csx grille is not badged. i think both types are in the pictures above.

as for my body kit. it's custom made. i should know cause it causes me alot of pain to get it to fit right. ;) it originally came from a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse.
oh, thanks for the advise everyone. i'd like to go the csx route i think. so does anyone know where i could possibly find a good deal on the front bumpers? that guy i mentioned earier hiked his price way up. :/

My best advice is good luck on finding the '89 CSX front airdam...even in cracked, broken condition they're hard to find.

i have quite a few:

thanks for the compliment. the pink car above was done in adobe illustrator. it was my project for learning the program. every little color shift in that image is a seperate pen-tool-drawn shape!!

if i can't find the csx bumper, i'll probably just make my own variant on it. :)

here's a further edited version of the pink car above:

the color is suppost to be panther pink with the old dodge style graphics. also added carbon fiber texture and took out some other little things. looks a little better, i think.

I too would opt for a CSX style ride. They look very nice, and don't draw too much unwanted attention.
