View Full Version : GTC Axle Nut Size

I'm doing my CV joint today and I need to buy a socket, but I'm not sure what size the Axle Nut under the Rotor is. Anyone know off by heart? Thanks.

That depends if its OEM or if its been replaced. I beleive 32mm is stock, and I have seen some aftermarket ones that are bigger like 36mm.

32mm is stock size and most aftermarket axles I've had still had 32mm nuts. If you can't find a 32mm, 1 1/4" is pretty close and should also work.

The way I learned to remember that was that you can't spell 'believe' without 'lie'. Not trying to say anything, that's just what made it stick for me.

Well you were all right. The one I had was 32mm on the replacement as well, and the 1-1/4" fits it as well if you don't have one. Impact wrench was a big help for anyone who hasn't done it before.

All I have is 1 1/4, works fine.
