An ambulance is always on call at the track.. If that's too slow, a ride to the Hospital In reeves omni would be way cool.

how cool would that be........

"and kid, you were driven home from the hospital in a 10 second Omni" :eyebrows:

but, the due date is March 26, so as long as we have it a couple of weeks before da fling, then hopefully I can go.

I'll try for sure, but I highly doubt I'll have the car ready by then. I just don't have enough time to make enough money to finish it all up. I'll still try to come minus car though.

Folks, The OVC has 2 of the best events every year. Spring Fling and Turbopalooza... We have folks from 5-700 miles drive in for these and the after and PRE gathering at my place is always a good time!!! (people are welcome to crash here, the place is littered with people and I have LOTS of room!!!)

If you can please try to make it... our local saying is "And a good time was had by all"

Tristate has no paved or gravel pit areas - everyone parks on the grass.

If the grass is too wet, they call off the racing.

I just moved home and started this job a week and a half ago....my boss had a vacation scheduled for the week including the weekend of the 22nd. There are only 4 of us and if I'm off too, that leaves 2 people to run the place on the busiest day of the week.

Finally, my car is running well and not an issue and I can't go because of something else stupid, yet again. grrr!

Weather was absolutely perfect, sunny and 75 degrees. Turn out of Turbo Mopars was much lower than expected, lower than even normal. Even some of the regulars weren't there this time. Despite that many who said they were going to be there weren't, a fantastic time was had by everyone. The racing was fine but there were no real records or stand-outs. (Translation: my 1st pass was only at 10psi and was a 16.1. My second pass after turning the Granger in was an exhibition of Overboost. I could have been mistaken for Clay! After that I called it quits.)

As usual, the real fun was the hanging out after at Ken's place. Hambergers and Hot dogs, softdrinks and beer. Hilarious stories, funny videos on Warren's and my computers, tons of movie, TV line quotes, and even Pinball! I played the pinball machine so much, my wrists hurt and I probably have an early case of carpel-tunnel!

What Fleck said....

We had about 15 cars of all sorts in the OVC area, about 6 or 7 people racing.

Reeves went 12.98 in his Mom's SRT4, destroying an Evo RS.

Joe O'Conner won the battle of the Hemi Ram Daytona pickups.

My boy RacinNathan had his best ever 60ft, this with the AGTEC chains installed - even though the slicks are another winter older - looks promising...

Sorry I missed the festivities!! I had the best of intensions of being there, but to many irons in the fire, and a baby, made me stay home! :( I was dissapointed I couldnt go, but I was able to spend good time with my son, and some good time on the GLHT TII conversion! So all is well.

I was there in my neon. And after some intense stripping of the car i got a 15.95@86 and backed up by a 15.99@85. Removed:pass seat, rear seat bottom, antenna, wipers, front license plate, air filter, air box lid, hood, muffler. biggest gains were from muffler and hood/air box lid. The neon with pizza wheels and bald falken ziex tires netted a 2.27 60ft. BTW, it is SOHC 5-Speed.

It was a really good time, I just would've liked to see more td's out there racin.

EDIT: anyone know of a good way to kill the top speed limiter on a neon. 120 doesn't cut it for a 3 hour drive down rt 75.

That's why I couldnt make it. My daughter had a school carnival Saturday! Didnt do much for me, but for an 8 year old, she thought it "rocked".
We did get to go to a local drive in restaurant after and see a car show and a flame shooting contest... that was cool until the cops showed up to harass the restaurant staff due to breaking the noise ordinace. Got to see some nice vintage iron, closest thing to a T-D was a turbo PT cruiser with flashing green lights under it.. again my daughter thought it was "cool".

I'll reply to you, Hey Martin you have a sweet turbo and many people think it's too big but that not the case. The map on that compressor is sweet because the surgeline is so far to the left that I wish I would of got one now. Also it's even effiecent even at 60LB/MIN. That turbo kicks but and I'll trade ya mine for- I know you wouldn't do that. Anyway get your ECU problems fixed, Get some slicks, and eventually a new intercooler and make all of us proud! Get it together right and low 12's or somewhere in the 11's will be in your future!
