Well, I can never seem to get ahold of the guy I have had lined up to pick a motor up off of, so I guess I need to start looking.

Im in Western PA.

Looking for a GOOD condition short block or possiblly long block. By good condition I mean NO knocking, or 200,000 miles, ect.

Prefer TII. Will go TI if I cant find anything.

Prefer 2.2, but same goes for a 2.5 as w/ the TI.

Prefer NON-common block, but will go common block if needed.

Also need a TII turbo, or compressor housing.

How much are you looking to spend? I have an 88 TII bottom end that I built a few years back that I never used. Its got 020 JEs for a G head, std 88 TII forged crank,TII rods that had the beams polished and shot-peened and ARP hardware. The block was decked and O-ringed. Its ready to run and has never been run and is ready to make some power:thumb:

Well its for a DD, so G-head might not be such a good idea.

Nothing wrong with a G headed 2.2 with the proper cal, they make good power.

The compression can become stupidly low and can cause driveability problems if using swirl pistons with a g head. His engine has pistons designed for the g head so it should be good to go.

I've run G headed 2.2 and 2.5. The 2.5 had stupidly ridiculous low end torque once I started burning my own cal's. No one puts in enough off boost timing advance in, this is why G headed cars feel like they have no low end power. Mine had so much low end I couldn't get traction until fourth gear, and even then I broke it loose on the highway in 4th once (this was on 28 PSI though LOL).
A G headed 2.2 with a proper cal is excellent on the street IMO. Less low end torque equals greater traction, but not so much less that driveability suffers IF YOU HAVE A PROPER CAL.
