If anybody has a stock 3 bolt TC for sale that will work for me also. I know I'm juming around here but I think that would work for me also. So if anyone has one for sale I would like to buy it asap.

You will also need to change the pump if you plan on putting an 84-85 converter in a 87 up transmission.

Yeah, if someone has one of those I will take that also.:o

Sorry, make that 86 up. I always forget about that goofy 4 bolt converter small spline axle one year only transmission.

I've had good luck in drilling 6 bolt flex plates to accept 4 bolt convertors. One of the holes lines up and drill the other 3. One is a little close to the cutout but I never had any problems. Just a thought.

Thanks
Randy

I've done this before. If I recall correctly your timing mark on the converter won't work though.

This is a good point!! It's been a while since I last did this but my fading memory seems to recall that depending on which original hole in the 3 bolt flex plate you started from it was possible to retain the original timing mark.
Thanks
