Can you recommend a turbo for my application?
'89 Lebaron covertible, 2.5L, auto. trans, ported exhaust manifold, stock head and everything else. Will be weekend driver, pump gas. Want something better than the Mitsu on it, limit to 15 lbs boost. Will upgrade SMEC later.
I do have the Wiseco pistons in the short block that I got from you.:thumb:

Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forum! :thumb:

For the goals you mentioned, here are a couple thoughts:

For a low-buck upgrade you can try to find a good condition used Turbo II Garrett T03 turbo and that will be a direct bolt in.

For a more pricy (but better piece of mind cuz it is new) option you can get a Super 60 (T03) turbo, which is a higher performance direct bolt in.

Are you going to install an IC?

I might go for the Super 60, thanks for the help!

You can't go wrong with that, plus its a true bolt on, no fabbing.

A super 60 works really well with a 2.5.

Yup, as mentioned a stock T2 or a super 60 will be great on this setup you have. Super 60 is a great street turbo.
