stuck tranny

My car has been in a garage since 2002. The 413 tranny was a rebuild I bought off someone, and mounted it in place. I didn't put fluid in it yet. Through the poking about slow rebuild of the engine bay, the tranny has shifted through the gears. Months since I last did that, I was working away to find I couldn't get the shift linkage to budge at all. I left it in frustration months ago. Today I had at it. It doesn't look rusty, though the garage can get damp in the summer. I sprayed some PB blast at it, but still cannot get it to move.

What should I try? I'd hate to have to pull it out and rebuild it again.

If you've tried the move the linkage and no go, you don't need to overhaul it, drop the pan and remove the valve body, :nod:
