There's a few of them on Ebay right now.

Woops, I should have been more clear. What I need is the tensioner pulley.

Serpentine belt pulley?

Did you see this thread-

Nope, not the serpentine belt idler/tensioner pullies. Those are still available. The thread you linked to is the idler pulley for the timing belt. The one he is selling is most likely a timing belt idler pulley for the Chrysler 3.5L V6, which can be used with the addition of a washer on the backside for proper backspacing. It's available aftermarket for about $30.

Now the timing belt tensioner pulley on the other hand is unavailable from Mopar or the aftermarket. Us TIII owners need to find a good replacement sooner or later or a lot of us will have broken cars that we can't do much about.

Just frustrated I can't find a tensioner anywhere! Well...there is an R/T in a junkyard about 300 miles away, but I have no idea if the tensioner is any good, and that's a long ways to drive for a tensioner.

Will pay $250 for NOS/unused/new condition tensioner. $100 for a used one in good shape.

I might have one for you. I'll have to look when I get home tonight.

I might have something, if powermaxx can't find anything, I am sure I could spare one.

Cool guys. I'm really wanting one used one for my recently aquired R/T, and a NOS one for Omni which I'm slowly getting a built TIII ready for.

I'm also looking into having a local shop make something like this for me; an adjustable timing belt tensioner. This one if for a Honda B-series motor, but something similar could probably work for a TIII.

On a related note, am I the only one that is highly annoyed with Ebay's new "feature/policy" of hiding bidder's identities? You can't tell if you're bidding against your buddy, or if the seller's buddy is jacking the price up on you... Ebay doesn't care, I'm sure, it just means more $$ for them! Another way to get you to spend more $$:(

Rant off

that is a seller option to make it private or not, i never do.

But it's just the thing when you want your buddy to drive the price up... That's why I hate it, just don't see how it is better for the eBay "community". Oh, wait I said I was done ranting... OK, now I'm done.. :D

I think its better, you can't see who's bidding so you can't play the game, :thumb:

I suppose that is true, then it's just the seller and his buddies, which I think has more potential for abuse, DAMNIT!! I said I was done!

I give up. I will find a shop to make me a tensioner like the one from Vibrant Performance.

I've been thinking about this, since it's just the bearing that goes, anything stopping us from finding the appropriate replacement bearing and pressing the old one out and the new one in? I'd bet you can find the bearing for less than $20.00. Any thoughts?

Uh, I guess!? Maybe he didn't know I was already the high bidder.

But this means I'll buy the one you found for me Josh. Let me know when you can get ahold of it and payment info etc. I'm going to have to move this car by the end of the month.

No, I think it was a local bearing store. I know I made notes, about 4 years ago for a customers R/T which is now mine but I never really paid much attention as I had no plans to own one, doh!

Such snide responses.... You'll be eatin' them later on when I explain why. I wasn't going to say anything but now I had to say something.

Jeremy I got your back (remember the TIII power steering pump...). Check your PM's You'll know but the rest of these "fine folks" will be clueless for awhile.

Hope you didn't buy that tensioner just yet....

Why not let the man bid on it himself? You ended up paying more for it in the end.

heheh it's cool. Let's just say Steve really did need it more than I did and I'm happy to let this one go. I've found another one I can use to get my car going pretty soon too.
