I can do any fabrication, wiring and welding myself. What I need to know is will the computer in a 92 3.0 Duster work with the distribator and sensors of the 92 5.2 Mag V8? How do the batch fire injectors fire, 2 to a batch or more? I could buy and wire in a stand alone system but am tring to do this as a Bucks down retro. I have a few 8 3/4 A and B body rears laying around. I also have the complete 90 Voyager wiring if the computers are different. DaveJ

No, it wouldnt at all. Plus if you did get it to run it would be way lean. The 5.2 throttle body only has 2 injectors nad the 3.0 has 6. Use a 5.2 computer ot megasquirt it

Thanks for the reply. This 5.2 has 8 injectors and a Holley TB with no injectors all on a BEER barrel manifold. I could just put a 4 bbl intake on it with a Pro-jection and a pre Mag MSD type distribator and box on it and be done but this route is not cheap. Can anyone tell me how the 92 3.0 injectors fire? How many to a batch? DaveJ

I think you are thinking of the '91 and old 5.2L throttle body EFI engine and not the new for '92 Magnum Sequential Port Injected engine.

why not get all the electronics out of a dakota/ram/van and use those? That'd for sure take care of your issues and be IMHO the easiest route.

I've done a couple of these (not in P bodies) and its not that hard. Great result in the end. The only thing that would make it even better would be the 4 speed trans to go with it. No harder than doing a T1 to T2 conversion.

I hear rumors that Mopar Performance is finally starting on making conversion wiring harnesses to allow these Magnum engines to be put in about any car...

O I got the A518 with it but its a 4x4 transfer case one. I could just put it in low range, first gear with the 5.13:1 gearset i have for a 8 3/4 and jurk the front end off the ground at about 5 MPH :D . What is the web addy for FAST? Then agian I may just do a 3.0 with a hairdrier on it ;) . DaveJ
