Its the A543 on my 3.0 car. I accedently spun through 3rd then BOOM! I am about 90% sure the spider gears blew into the belllhousing and the rotating clutch/PP threw them through the top. I found the gears on the tranny. Good thing they didnt blow through the hood too.

Looks like what happend to our 96 Avenger and our 98 Caravan... neither of which had the tires spun during the transmission's life.

Well I am about to work on my A543s in my LIVING ROOM! LOL! I live in a studio apartment with no garage so what can I do? I once seen a thread that was called "do you have turbo dodge parts in your bedroom?" Well, my living room is my bedroom, LOL.

The project has started! I have my spare trans in my living room. I'm not going to have time to rebuild it before april since I dont have the tools or experience. So I am just going to install the differential pin retainers, reuse the clutch if its not screwed, then bolt the trans on, then off to the track! I hope the 3rd gear syncro isnt too bad. I talked to the previous owner of the trans and he said its starting to go. If I shift real fast and it grinds bad, am I risking blowing the thing apart??? I cant slow down my shift to 3rd If I want to run 13s. I'll have more pics of my blown trans as soon as i pull it off the car

my dex-77 from shelby lancer is in my bedroom along with shelby graphics for 87 csx. Also is a super 70 new turbo, ed peters ported g head and 2pc intake manifold and some $600 clutch for the glhs.

i have a couple cork screw half-shafts for ashtrays in my room my brother made them using a turbo rampage at 25 psi and a piece of plate steel for the bases
