I am needing to move my radiator over to install an IC in my 85 SC. What does anyone recommend for a fan? My fan will hit the oil filter if its not a lower profile fan than what I have. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I have a GLHS fan in my 1985 Shelby Charger. I know those are hard to find. A lot of people get a parts store slim fan. You can get one for around $50-$75.

I ran into the same thing on my car. I think the fan in mine might have come from a mini van.

Relatedly, if I'm going to put a FMIC in my 87 SC, is there any advantage in picking up a daytona t2 rad/fan combo as far as performance or ease of installation? Or would using my stock rad and a caravan fan work just as well?

Thanks

It would be easier if you did. I had to move my radiator over and cut away some of the core support to get the pipes through. The T2 rad would leave a nice hole to get you pipes through.

Huge +1 for the T2 rad sans IC for the pipes to pass through. You can see pics of my IC install on my site. It works pretty well, and you will have more room in front of the rad with a charger.
