The S is Silent

I've been futzing with my brother's horizon for 3 days now, rebuilding the suspension, upgrading the brakes, fixing the water pump...and now it turns out it needs an alternator. I've get a nice small one that I want to put in, I think it's the Nippendo or whatever. Well, we got it tested at Advanced and it only put out 10V...is that enough for a horizon? I really don't want to drive to Augusta tonight to get another one...and this car has to be done tonight.

The guy at advanced says it's bad...is he right? Is 10V too little?

yup, 10 v is too little. a good condition alternator should put out 14v or so, give or take 1/2 volt. btw "s is silent" did you get your pm?

10v....

That can't charge up a 12v battery.
