89 shelby smokes like a train motor sound good does not smoke at an idle until rev it up to boost then smoke so bad cant see the car.Could this be the turbo causing this?After it sits for awhile and start it back up it does not smoke at idle till you rev up again.Just wondering I just bought the car for $150 89 shelby cs t-top.

Sounds like the turbo is shot. Pull the plugs, if there clean, IE not wet or lots of fluffy deposits, then the turbo is shot. IF the plugs are wet with oil or covered with fluffy deposits, has a ring or valve seal problem.
