Some of you know I had use to drive a really mint Chrysler NY. It blew the HG, and I was still limping it, when the diff pin came out of the tranny. So, I traded it to a local TD guy to build the motor for my CSX... I called him a few days ago to see if he would be interested in my 89 Tona because I needed some money to buy a SRT. He told me he was actually down on $$ and wanted to know if I would be interested in buying a car from him. We did some talking, and he ended up selling me back my old NY, with a few mods :)

Its now sporting
87 T2 Mp stage 2 ECU
T2 injectors
Converted T1 garret
T2 intake
T2 rad/IC

He just delveried it a hour or 2 ago and it runs GREAT for still having stock exhaust, the timming done by ear, and no MBC.

Im planning a better IC, 3in exhaust, some FFV's and wideband. I also picked up a scanner to help with tunning. I would LOVE to get this car into the 13's but I am going to be limited by the t1 rods. I do have a 89 T2 motor sitting in my garage with a g-head and a s-60, but I dont know if it will end up in this car or not.

Just wanted to brag! Once I find a new pic host Ill get some pics up of my new sleeper ride!

Here is a pic of it from when I picked it up (hosted by prev owner)

Nice looking car. One of my neighbors (little old lady) has a white one that is mint all original that I offered to buy if she ever wants to get rid of it.

Been driving the car, and it is running great. Had a issue with the tranny, and got to learn all about valve bodies before I got it fixed, but its working now. Car run great! Im hoping to get a boost gauge in it soon so I can up the boost to 14psi. I still haven't decided on exhaust yet thou. May just stay stock until I can afford something that isn't super loud.

My yorker has an 89 T2 turbo so I got a 2.5" d'pipe from the yard and ran straight pipe to the 1st bend after where the cat used to sit. Woke the car up nicely, still quiet. Went 14.3 with that exhaust. With the MP plus turbo I think I need to finally step up and do the rest of the exhaust as it's just a hair less responsive. But the top end rocks.

Jay what else did you have done to the car to run those numbers? Ive been meaning to PM you. I think for now on the exhaust im going to replace the cat with some SRT resonators (laying in the shop) and replace the single exit carb/na muffler with the stock unit from my 89 shelby tona. Id love to put 3 inch on it, but with trying to buy a house, and planning a wedding im broke! lol.

87 T2 induction setup, with an 89 turbo. FFV injectors and a 87 T2 calibration with the boost turned up to 14.5 in the cal and the injectors scaled back a bit.

I installed a boost gauge this weekend and wow... It was only running 6psi off the wastegate! Turned it up to about 13 and wow... it RIPS! Also swapped a 88 turbo roller cam. Cant wait to get the very clogged cat off of it and see what happens next.

Wow dude, if you are impressed with a clogged stock exhaust you aren't gonna believe it once you rip it off...seriously it'll be a night and day difference. Have fun!

I know! This isnt anywhere near my first TD. lol. Its been so long that I cant remeber what fast is! lol.

Past rides
88 Shadow ES t2/555 20 psi, HORRIBLE tune, 13.8@100
89 CSX T4/T2 16 psi... can you say GO KART!
89 Shelby Tona, T2/555 18 psi, s60, SRT IC... Felt FAST but never made it to the track.

all had 3inch ;)

and probaly 5 other "stockers" Ive DD'd and a few TBI's... and Neons... lol.

But, I want to keep this car somewhat quiet. So its going to cost me some $$$, and Im trying to save for a house, and what isnt going into savings the GF is spending on our wedding. So for now Im planning on just removing the cat, but once I start racing and the "cat" is outta the bag on its sleeper status, I may give in and run some cheapy 3in side exit :)
