I need one for the Rampage project and found this on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TurboXS-Universal-DTEC-4-Bar-MAP-Boost-Sensor-DTEC-MAP_W0QQitemZ120221847142QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item1 20221847142

I'd rather have the screw in type but I can only find them as 5 Bar MAP's. I only plan on seeing 38psi or so.

So anyone have a source for 4 Bar screw in type?

TIA

motorola mpxh6400 you can get a free sample at www.freescale.com and a little daughterboard to solder it to from rodney at www.rs-autosport.com

gotta put it in a small enclosure and run a hose but it costs like 6$ when you are all said and done.

Is this the car the FAST is going on? If so, it will work with the 5 bar.

Yep, seen that.
I figure the 5 bar would not be as good. Kinda like having a gauge that reads 100psi and all you're measuring is 30 psi. Think of it as a percentage or resolution to the overall length of the gauge (or size of diameter). Since the voltage output is still 5V divide that by 4 or 5. The 4 would have more resolution voltage increments per "psi" vs the 5. Hard to explain.

Not hard to explain at all, you want to use the closest rang that you will be using to get the best usage of the resolution :thumb:

It is always a balance between best practice and part availability.
