I'm Looking for some reputable sources for honda tuning and performance products. Mainly for a '98 Integra GS-R.

Thanks!

hmmm my own link isnt working but that was the place to go for honda ecu stuff.

btw, there is no real obd2 programmable setup for vehicles older than 2001. you use a obd1 ecu and a conversion harness.

edit.... correct link http://forum.pgmfi.org/index.php

Your best bet is to search around hondatech and see what everyone else is doing. There are free tuning programs out there (neptune, crome, etc) that require that your ecu be chipped. These programs have their own dedicated sites and you can learn how to tune yourself. Then there are aftermarket companies with either their own ecu (hondata, aem) or a decent piggyback (greddy emanage). 95% of the people using any of these are using forced induction....not too many all motor, but there are some.

pgmfi has real nice writeups on socketing the boards and adding the components to do real time tuning with crome. (neptune isnt free im pretty sure)

there was an issue with crome not addressing stock honda timing limits in the OEM P30 code. when tuning the high rpm vtec timing map on a heavily boosted motor, you couldnt pull out enough timing.

johncui (maker of crome) posted a fix in post 91 of this thread http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=13441&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=90
(link is a jump to post #90) on how to input a script into crome to take care of this issue and it seems to work.

if i were to build a boosted honda, crome is what id use. xenocron (another well known honda tuner) posted his personal crome folder in that thread too for folks to try out.

Hondata ftmfw! Unfortunately I think it's only for OBD1.

Thanks for all the info guys!
I'm going to be helping my Nephew work on his Integra. He wants to turbocharge it when he gets back from his tour in the desert.

Thanks again,

My friend has a 94ish Integra GSR built by Slow Motion that makes 603WHP at 25psi. ;) Runs off Hondata.

Runs off Honda-Tech.

what do you mean it runs off honda-tech? honda-tech is a website not engine management last i checked?

EDIT..... fixed bDrAyVaEn's slight error in the name of a commercially available engine management system utilizing the stockish ecu.

there's a guy around here that has a 650ish whp hatch. it blows up once a year and runs low 10s...i'm not impressed considering he has 40k in it (he is inept, knows nothing, so had a "high end" shop piece it together...once a year).

hondata isn't too bad, but there are better as exampled....

Funny that these Honda guys always break stuff. Rob just blew up his Charger because he was injecting an additional dry single fogger on top of his other nitrous and ran lean. Four years on the same bottom end. :hail::hail:
