Alright peeps...poll time. the question is do you think a 88 CSX-T would look cool with a 89 CSX Wing?

Bitchin or Sacralidge?

the '89 CSX wing looks cool on ANY P-body.

Though it would probably work better if you flipped it and bolted upside down under the front... sometimes I think Shelby knew what he was doing with aerodynamics (GLHS, Lancer) and other times I think he did it for looks. (CSX, Daytona.. )

That is a nice looking wing. Should get the one with the built in 3rd light if you are getting a new one.

I think the 89s look best with them because the GFX package seems to make the car sit lower to the ground. Because of those wider GFX, the wing looks just at home, whereas on an 88, not sure how it woud look since the GFX don't make the car sit as low.

I'd say keep the stock one on it, and keep the 89 for a rainy day.

I don't think the 89 wing looks right without the lower gfx of the 89 CSX. Those gfx make the car look lower and the wing doesn't look as high.

I had a friend put an 89 wing on an 87 CSX and to me it didn't look right. It kinda looked like the SRT-4 wing on an SRT-4. I replaced my SRT-4 spoiler with a stock SXT spoiler on my SRT-4.

I wouldn't do it. It's kind of like putting a '69 Charger Daytona wing on a '68 or '70 Charger (without doing the nose swap and window plug)...just doesn't work.

Number'd cars should be kept stock appearing.

I would do it. Just mount it on a different hatch so you can go back to stock easy.

the 89 CSX cars are lower.... I rember my 89 CSX sitting much lower then my 88 ES with shelby z springs that lowered it a inch or so...

i voted sacralidge, and my reason is becuase you own a numbered shelby. however, if you were to buy a wingless trunk and mount an 89 spoiler on it and bolt that to your car, I'd say bitchen!

Thanks to all the replies. I love the look of that wing and I hate the regular Shadow wing...but I too think it might look funny or out of place without the rest of the package.

Odd how the threads say no, but the poll says yes. Who is voting?

I too think that it would only look right with the side GFX too.

I'm restoring an '89 CSX which I removed and welded up the holes for the 3rd brake lamp and cleaned up the factory line as Shelby meant for it to be. Just look at the Brochure. Screw what the federal mandate says. Chances are better than not that you'll never get close enough for it to matter...
